Professor Andrawes has a clear vision about modernizing Newmark Structural Engineering Laboratory (NSEL). He is committed to providing strong leadership so our faculty and students may continue to lead in advancing knowledge and developing solutions in structural engineering and civil infrastructure sustainability. Under Professor Andrawes’ leadership, NSEL will evolve into a hub for innovation and creativity within the structural engineering discipline and its interfaces with other areas of CEE, The Grainger College of Engineering and the university as a whole.
