Research Overview

The structural engineering and mechanics faculty at Illinois are very active in cutting research to improve the performance of structural systems. Summaries of experimental research done in Newmark Structural Engineering Laboratory and the NEES MUST-SIM testing facility websites. Also earthquake engineering research done at the Mid-America Earthquake (MAE) Center can be seen by visiting the MAE website. Apart from these laboratories and center, the structures faculty are involved in many individual research projects – many of which are referenced on webpages for individual faculty members.

Research reports prepared by Illinois Structures faculty are available for download at the IDEALS web page.

The URLs of the research websites of the Structural Engineering & Structural Mechanics faculty are available at the Faculty and Staff web page.
